Trails in the Sky and Tactics will keep me busy. Although Iâm still waiting for something to make me feel like getting the Switch 2 at this point was worthwhile.
My choice is completely different.

Bratz: Rhythm & Style due to 12 September 2025.
Silksong thinks it can steal Bubsy's thunder? Please.
*1 exciting new game coming to Switch & Switch 2
I'm interested in the golf one. I missed Hot Shots Golf on PSX but by all accounts it was legitimate.
Nice selection this month! I might eventually get Trails in the Sky and Silksong in the far future.
@Tyaku Same. I hardly use my Switch 2. I know it will be worth it in the long run, but this feels like a very slow start for a new console.
@Anti-Matter You can play as a Bratz who is in turn playing DDR??
I was wonder how Star Wars Outlaws will run on Switch 2...
Star Wars Outlaws and Cronos: The New Dawn are both a possible buy but first after I read and/or watch some reviews. The only other game that I'm tempted to buy day one regardless of reviews are Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles.
What is Silksong? Never heard of that one before
No PR for Henry Halfhead? That one looks more interesting to me than most of these to me! That said, I think we can all agree that September is exciting for Silksong.
You gotta wonder if thereâs going to be any surprise releases from Nintendo coming up this month as well. With the rumor of a Direct on the 12th, itâs always a possibility weâll have even more to play than we already know about! Imagine if Hades 2 or Metroid Prime 4 shadow drop this month⊠I donât think itâs gonna happen, but you never know!
Heaps of games for me.
I've got Silksong, then there's Silksong.
Followed closely by Silksong and maybe finish off with some Silksong.
That pretty much covers all the games this month............wait.........there were others?
Poor fools
Dang there is something coming out besides silk song that I was excited for now I dont remember. Uggghhhh the horror of being old
Doubled dang it i looked up the trailer for that Bratz game and now I'm on the list. Youtube algorithm going to send me all sorts of junk now
Wow... the first week will truly be a testament for the Switch 2, with three demanding current-gen games and one long-awaited 120fps game arriving on the console
Many are also expecting a Nintendo Direct for this month, the first week could serve a good recap for how the console's going until now and what these ports mean for current-gen potential.
Ok but letâs be real - do I actually want to replay FF Tactics for the 4th time?
Yes. The correct answer is Yes.
@MatthewTaranto
It looks like from the trailer of Bratz: Rhythm & Style I watched from Outright Games.
I will wait for official gameplay once get released.
Please stop; I yield. My backlog is already overloaded for the coming years. I will allow Silksong and Metroid Prime 4; please delay the rest into 2026 or 2027.
Cronos, Silksong and Trails in the Sky for me! Great month this one. And maybe Daemon X Machina and FF Tactics later on, on sale.
I hope the Switch 2 version Cronos is worth it! Looking forward to the reviews.
I heard Star Wars Outlaws is not running well on Switch 2, such a pity, although maybe it will be good after some patches (and Ubisoft games tend to be on sale pretty early).
Also the Sonic racing game seems to be quite average, and considering Kirby Air Riders is coming soon, well...
I got a be honest. For me, there's really only one game coming out this month.
Silksong is the only interesting game releasing in September. Nintendo are frustrating me with Switch 2, if I didnât have such a large game backlog form my Switch, I would be seriously disappointed with Switch 2âs game releases so far.
Man this almost gave me a heart attack. I thought it was Final Fantasy 7 this month hahah đ€Ł
But Yeah trails will keep me busy, loved the demo.
Starwars i dont know... Ubisoft is really quiet about this one, where are more gameplay videos?
Silksong and a lot of rage quits
Damn that's quite a lot of games.
Star Wars, Cronos, Daemon and Pac Man 2 are all possible depending on the reviews. And then there is Sliksong and Final Fantasy Tactics.
@RemyMartin Well, when the WiiU came out, we actually had to wait ONE WHOLE YEAR to get something exciting (first and third), so...
And the Wii? Apart from Twlight Princess (which I played on Gamecube), what else came out within the first year (until August that Metroid Prime 3 came out)? I tell you: nothing. Not even third party games, I wish the Wii had HALF the third party support the Switch 2 is getting...
The Switch 1 line up for the first year was an exception. Normally thing were way worse than they are now.
Silksong, Daemon X Machina, Star Wars Outlaws and Cronos are the games that interest me.
@the_beaver They should have delayed the console until December and release with 5+ first party games.

Team Cherry still has not announced any price for Silksong. I wonder why they like to do this, not announce anything until the very last minute.
@Oldstalk the price has been known for a few days already⊠itâs going to be $20
@Olmectron That would be a commercial suicide.
Preordered Titanic Scion, Everybody's Golf, LEGO Voyagers, Sonic Racing and Final Fantasy Tactics from my usual retailer here in Italy, will eventually get for sure (and hopefully sooner rather than later, haven't preordered them just because I missed when my retailer had them or they straight up didn't have them apart of course from the digital-only ones at least here in Italy and Europe in general) Silksong, Star Wars Outlaws, SHUTEN ORDER, Bubsy, Trails in the Sky and Pac-Man World 2!
@JohnnyMind will you be starting silksong on release date?
Final Fantasy Tactics is the game I'm getting, don't care about the other ones.
@Zeroo Show me the official announcement. I saw the leaks, but at this point, and after 6 damn years of radio silence, maybe Team Cherry could actually communicate on something themselves ?
The Internet no good games in September for Switch and 2. Nintendolife hold my beer.
This is the first I heard Star Wars Outlaws is not running well, which makes me sad/apprehensive - I was kinda excited to see what that was like but if it tanks in reviews it'll be a no go... Apart from that, I'm already backlogged so most games this month will be a "revisit later down the line" type of thing, including Silksong.
@Zeroo Seriously doubt it as my gaming schedule is currently full (to the point that I'm not sure I'll be able to play all the games this week since I missed a slot last night due to seeing my friends) - as much as I do want to give Silksong a try, there are other games that have higher priority for me like the upcoming Nintendo ones as well so we'll see... and of course I should finally also give the original Hollow Knight a try, but at this point it's just a matter of choosing if I want to start with that or Silksong!
Would be nice if the article states if a game is a Switch1 or 2 gameâŠ
What a depressing list. Star Wars is crap and it deserved its failure.
Chunsoft has made 2 duds in a row.
Trails was destroyed by people who hate the industry.
@Oldstalk in that case youâll have to wait 4 more days until itâs out and you can see the leaks confirmed. Will you buy it day 1?
It's strange how I can be over here, playing my Switch 2 every day and panicking about how big my backlog is ALREADY with so many new games coming out in the next few months
And others are over there whining about how there's "nothing" to play on Switch 2
@wushuwannabe This time it has VA, of course you gotta play again!
Wow, it is a great month! I'll definitely be getting Sonic Racing Crossworlds, Everybody's Golf, and Silksong when it gets a physical release. I might grab Trails when its price comes down, too.
Silksong and maybe Trails for me
@MamaSymphonia I feel exactly the same
Compared to August, September seems like a loaded month. I definitely want both Trails In The Sky 1st Chapter and Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles sooner than later. I might pick up Silksong in the FAR future should I discover I like the first game.
The switch allowed me to get into the Xenoblade series, and megaten series as well (I then went back and bought smt 4 for my 3ds before the store shut). Will the switch 2 be my foray into the trails series, Iâm kind of tempted, but itâs daunting. What I really do want to get in September tho is Titanic Scion if it reviews well, I tried the demo for like 20min and not sure yet. Everybodyâs golf is another one Iâm interested in
Chronos looks brilliant! And of course the Silky one has my attention. Also keen on Titanic Scion but fear it will sit in my backlog for a while.
So many great games this month! I have Daemon X Machina pre-ordered, excited for that after completing the demo this weekend.
I won't buy it immediately, but will definitely get Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter at some point. I've just finished playing the original, loved it but will take a little time before replaying it in its remake form.
Final Fantasy Tactics will also be an eventual purchase, but I'll hold off for now as I have too much to play as it is. Shuten Order is definitely interesting, maybe a future sale purchase. Hollow Knight wasn't really for me, so I'll be in the minority and give Silksong a pass myself, but glad to see the excitement for it!
I'm only interested in Final Fantasy Tactics but I'm going to wait on a sale.
@Tyaku
Yea i agree, i have no interesr in upgraded switch 1 games. I want a mario or zelda before i invest
Alex! Where's EA Sports FC 26?
September kind of snuck up on me, and has a lot of interesting games coming out
Silksong and FF Tactics, naturally. It's gonna be a busy fall for me
Dont hate me... literally NOTHING I will buy in September. Must be one of the few who disliked Hollowknight. Usually find there is a decent balance between either a first party release or dlc, a third party port or niche indie I'll take a look at.
Have to say its made me disappointed in the Switch 2 so far. the games I've played have been good but I was hoping to be more impressed by the first party slate and the third party support. I currently feel like were still in Switch 1 mid-late gen territory where there is a slow stream of BIG games and a tonne of rpgs, trpgs, jrpgs and sims
@The_Nintendo_Pedant
Iâve played a few EG games and theyâre all really good fun. If you like Mario Golf hopefully youâll find a lot to like.
Good month. PAC Man, Sonic Racing, Silksong, Star Wars, Everybodyâs Golf and the not listed FC26 are all on my watch list
@electrolite77
great to hear! I do enjoy Mario golf, particularly the GameCube one. đ kind of a perfect game.
@Oldstalk see, itâll be âŹ20 like I told you
@Zeroo I know, but I was mostly angry at yet another case of "Team Cherry decided to not communicate at all"
But yeah, 20 bucks is a great deal for what I suppose is gonna be a much bigger game than the first Hollow Knight.
